Microdiscectomy and Cauda equina

Hi My husband who is 31 yrs old had microdesctomy 1.month back...he had problems with L4 S1 AND L5 , he got admitted cuz from 2 days he wasn't able to pee and pass stool..his saddle area and left leg got numb...so.he had to b admitted..they said he need spine surgery ( microdectomy)...now it has been 1.month he is walking with sticks...but still he duzn ha e any sensations in saddle area..bowel n urine is passing in washroom but not feeling anything while passing...how long will this take to go...when will he be back to his normal.self.😓
