My 10 year old son complained lower right stomach pain as it was 4 th time in 4 months I took him for checkup , in ultrasound report it was mentioned Mesenteric Lymphadenitis ( insignificant in size) . Doctor gave him 1 month medicine and suggested repeat ultrasound, which came out same as before . Mesenteric Lymphadenitis ( insignificant in size) . My question is what could be the reason for not getting it cleared in spite of having medication for 20-30 days . Can it be serious ? I am very much tensed , kindly reply soon and suggest.

Mesenteric lymph nodes are nonspecific, non serious problems if child is growing well. It takes time to become normal for them may be more than 3months also. Just wait and watch
