Calm down and put yourself in his shoes - losing a job and having responsibilities to take care of is a very large moral and psychological responsibility. By nagging him or pestering him you’re only going to agitate him further. Don’t question him or get after him - give him his space to cope. Instead be supportive of his current situation, and leave him alone. Schizophrenia does not occur in 4 days!
