Memory Issues and Uneven Feeling During

Hello Doctor, I hope you're doing well. I’m reaching out for guidance regarding some symptoms I’ve been experiencing. I was diagnosed with Acute and Transient Psychotic Disorder (ATPD) about a year ago, and my medications were stopped two months ago as per my doctor’s advice. Since then, I’ve noticed the following: Memory Issues: Difficulty recalling recent events or days. It often feels like my memory is patchy. Uneven Feeling During Travel: While traveling, especially in a car, I often feel disconnected or as if I’m “not really there.” I would like your advice on these symptoms and any treatments or tests you might recommend to address them. Thank you for your time and assistance. Best regards, Mayank Naithani

Treatment for ATPD first episode usually lasts 1 year so tapering and stopping treatment provided you were asymptomatic was the right way to go. The symptoms you are experiencing right now are mostly anxiety symptoms. Detailed evaluation would be needed for further comments. I would recommend you seeing your psychiatrist for help with these. Meanwhile you can practice deep breathing,  do JPMR (videos on youtube), and do regular physical activity.
