For ankle sprain u dont need pain killers, pain killer is a temporary measure U follow R -rest I-Immobilisation with plaster cast for 2 weeks U can maximum use pain killers for 7 days not beyond that .

Ideally painkiller should not be the treatment for ankle sprain. Try to get a plaster done so that the ankle gets proper rest and ligament heals in proper position.
