Marijuana use effects on varicose vein

2017-08-15 11:41:41
I have recently undergone surgery for varicose veins and have quit tobacco in all forms since it was diagnosed. I used to have a marijuana habit before the surgery and want to know if I use it afterwards without tobacco, will I aggravate the problem?

Marijuana has numerous effects on our peripheral circulation and cardiovascular system.. It may proliferate chronic venous insufficiency and the recurrence of the varicose veins.. So be careful and quit smoking for good

There isn't a clear and proven study on the effects of marijuana on varicose veins but it was seen in one study that there was a 33% incidence in men with side effects of marijuana developing varicose veins. It is an incomplete study so it's difficult to comment on it. But I would advise you to quit smoking in general since you've already developed problems at an early age so it would be best to avoid it.
