A lung cancer can have asymptomatic metastasis. So as a rule get a bronchoscopy or ct guided biopsy for confirmation of disease. Secondly a Petct for staging and Mri brain  to rule out mets. If after all the staging it is still localized, then we have to assess the fitness of the patient. If patient is fit, then surgery is the best shot at cure. If patient is unfit then cybernife can be used
Next Steps
Staging workup

Cyber knife can never be a replacement for surgery. Cyber knife is radiation therapy. Only chance for cute for you is surgery. This could be VATS or Robotic.
