Lymph nodes in neck
Hello,I have got some lymph nodes in my neck.As per the sonography reports there are few bilateral cervical lymph nodes.Few enlarged lymph nodes are seen in both submandibular and posterior cervical region.These lymph nodes are hypoechoic with normal central hilarious vascularity.There is no evidence of necrosis.
Cervical lymph node enlargement usually occurs secondary to infections of throat and nose. Even skin and scalp problems such as seborrheic dermatitis can cause lymph node enlargement. Your sonography basically suggests simple enlargement without features of malignancy or tuberculosis. Treatment depends on identifying cause
