The chances of tumor occuring in the same breast after lumpectomy (breast conservation surgery) appears to be more, that is why many surgeons would recommend removing the entire breast tissue (MRM). However this strategy is still hotly contested, if you choose conserving the breast, close follow up and chemo-prevention options needs to be discussed with your treating doctor. Regards to survival rate for your tumor, need additional data to be able to answer.
