Lump on mons pubis

I have this painless lump under my mons pubis skin , it was painful for the first time i noticed it but now it doesn't hurt, its been 1 week since i noticed it . What could be the possibile reason for it . Plz help whether i should see a doc asap or wait for sometime to see what happens to it .
