Once in a month or so, the lower left side of my head starts paining. It pains uncontrollably and I cannot sleep at night. I cannot do anything. No pain killer works on my headache at that time. Please suggest any tests if I need to take. Thank you

Consult neurologist. I think u have migraine. U can do MRI brain to rule out secondary cause after consultation with neurologist.
