Low platelet, high sgpt

2022-06-10 08:14:25
LFT shows sgpt of 50. US attached. CBC shows platelet of 125000, last month it was 150000. What could be the reason? Do I need more tests to follow? I am taking concur 2.5 mg for APCs. No symptoms. Please suggest.

I think we should not be slaves of laboratory investigations. Both the readings ,  of 125,000 and 150,000 , are normal because any surgery can be done on the patient with this level of platelet count. Laboratories also have a range of normal values. If their reference values are misleading then the people get tensed unnecessarily.

Firstly I want to know y u have done CBC. Is it for a regular checkup or one month back do you  have any symptoms?? USG is normal, no need to worry regarding that.. I requires a detail history...  As long as your platelets were above one lakh it's ok..
