Low Hba1c but high fasting glucose
Hi
My hba1c level is only 5.1 (normal range 4.6-5.6)but my fasting glucose is 108(70-100).what may be the reason for this?
Don't worry about marginal values. It's ok. Hba1c gives the status for last 3 months

Fasting blood sugar should be done after at least 8 hours fast. HbA1C tells average blood sugar over s period of 2-3 months. So don’t worry.
