My nephew was feeling tired ,doc advised certain test ,in test his hemoglobin was 4.2 only ,doc advised blood transfusion ,his other liver/ kidney profile are fine but Vitamin b12 is 99.84 pg/ml ,also folic acid is 1.43 ng/ml,ferritin is 526 ng/ml, iron is 165 u/dl and transfreen is 32.7 ug/ml.
Wts reason for low hemoglobin.
His B12 levels and folic acid levels are low, what is his age? Any other family history or bleeding history? What is diet history? He may may suffering from anaemia due to vit B12 deficiency, he may need further blood tests to cofirm type of anemia and treatment according to it
