My husband is Type 1 diabetic.he is having Megagliptin MF once a day..His diabete is under control i.e. 140/170 before and after food.he want to do long trek.my question is can he go for long treking i.e 20- 24 km? Is there any problem if he trek that much long?

I suppose he is having type 2 diabetes not type 1 .
Type 1 diabetics are on multiple doses of insulin and usually not on any tablet . .
As you have mentioned that he is on a tablet and his sugars are under control .
He can go for trekking it will be beneficial for him .
Try to first do long walks around your home and monitor the fluctuations of blood sugar. CGMS may be of help. Take help of your treating diabetologist as well.
