I was taking LIBOTRYP DS for anxiety, sleep disorder, morning vomiting and ibs d. libotryp ds was working well but Dr said that it can't be taken for long time and now he prescribed tryptomer 25mg at night, but the result is. not same as libotryp ds. any alternative medicine which can be taken for long time having good results like libotryp ds please advise.

Hi , libotryp contains amytryptaline and chlordiazepoxide. Tryptomer contains just amytryptaline. Chlordiazepoxide is addictive and given as short term only, hence your doctor has changed the medications. U could discuss with ur doctor for alternative to chlordiazepoxide.

Libotryd ds consists of two medication. Better is continue libotryp ds. After 1month taper down to half tab. Other medication  are also avilable. Consult me on practo for further evaluation and treatment.
