Based on the X-rays you have shared, I do not appreciate any true reduction in the size of the left iliac bone. The apparent difference is most likely due to variation in X-ray positioning or pelvic rotation, rather than the bone actually becoming smaller. Also, loss of lumbar lordosis is usually caused by muscle spasm, poor posture, or underlying back pain and is not related to a decrease in iliac bone size.
Next Steps
Please compare your previous and current X-rays with an Orthopaedic surgeon. If you continue to have pain or if there is any doubt, further evaluation with an MRI (or CT scan if required) may be advised. You can also book an online consultation with me and upload both your previous and current X-rays for a detailed comparison and personalized guidance.
Health Tips
Do not worry based solely on the apparent size difference seen on one X-ray. Management should be based on your symptoms, examination findings, and comparison with previous imaging rather than a single radiograph.
