See first of all this is quite a common condition to get a lazy eye.
But the good point is that it is diagnosed early. Till the age of 7 years a child has a scope to regain its full and in some cases it gets corrected too.
May be your child has high cylinder power in one eye which leads to amblyopia or lazy eye as this eyes is not seeing properly making it lazy.
All you need to do is give her glasses which fits properly.
Make sure the child wears glasses all the times and advise her OTHER eye patching as to give more stimulus for this eye to work.
While patching make sure that child is doing near activity with glasses wearing like watching TV, mobile or reading or drawing.
Every 6 months get power of your eye checked , this power of cylinder vary , so it is not sure that a child will need glasses for lifetime.
So don't worry
