Do all people after age 40 need specs for reading books or pleople who ungergo laser surgery for eyes (like power -5) are more to put specs after age 40 for reading??

Hello at around 40 years of age near vision little blur. As we increase working distance vision becomes clear. This condition is known as presbyopia Everyone will get presbyopia though some people may need near vision glasses at 40 years of age and some people need them at later age.

Yes, everyone needs glasses for near vision after 40 years. Those who have -5.0 power will use a few years later. But those who have done laser and don't wear glasses for distance vision will definitely need glasses for reading around 40 years of age.
