If the baby was latching well previously then there is no reason why baby will not latch now. Don't get into the habit of expressing the milk (also don't use bottle to feed as it might cause nipple confusion and baby will stop sucking on breast). It will double your work. Try breastfeeding when the baby is awake but not yet started crying for feeds. Try using nipple shield if needed.
