Hi, I m 33 year old female working in IT having a history of l4 l5 disc herination 16 years back . Got mild relapse in Jan 2023 and again having repeat episode since May 2023. And got MRI today. As compared to last MRI disc has protuded. What should be the next steps. Pain areas are right leg more on feet and right side back region since 4-5 days. Limping while walking due to pain. Want to know best treatment options.

With long history of disc herniation for 16 years with equally long relapse from pain is not very common. Looks like this is a fresh episode which more severe prolapse,blocking neural canal in single MRI plate you have shared. It will be wise to consult Orthopaedic spine surgeon with MRI to get full clinical as well as Radiological evaluation of the issue, so that best possible modalities of treatment can be offered to you.
