So my dad is a chronic dialysis patient(60M) . Doing dialysis past 8 years . So recently he had back pain And so we had taken him to a hospital The docs took xray and found its L1 wedge compression , they told that the bone has become small so we need to know why and investigate it .then only we can prescribe medications. And are asking for an mri . Is xray not sufficient to give medications or tell further course of Treatment.

MRI is necessary to rule out soft tissue aspects of spinal column. X ray has already revealed bone condition. Also, some blood test would also be required to calcium balance.

MRI gives more clear picture than your X ray. So, your doctor can suggest you for an MRI.
