I have been having knee pain and clicking sound when i sit or stand... it usually happens after long hours of sitting.. there is no swelling or redness...no problem in walking or running... just during squat and lunge position.

You are having the patellofemoral pain syndrome. This happens due to malalignment of the patella which produces tilt of the lateral patella facet and increased pressure at the lateral patellofemoral joint. You require a good rehabilitation program.
