Iam having kidney stone 1.5cm in left kidney frequently iam getting pain. I need to go for surgery or any medication

Need to know more details if d scan was ultrasound or CT scan. If ct not done it needs to get done If it is 1.5 cms stone it needs to be cleared by surgery only not by medication.
