You can evaluate yourself at home by checking the masseter muscles of you cheek in front of ear and temporalis muscle above the ear after clenching the mouth with your own fingers. You can check for any pain on palpation with your fingers which tend to reduce after splint therapy. Check whether you muscles are paining when you getup in the morning. These two things can give you an idea whether you splint therapy is working for you.
