Hello doctor, My son born on 22nd August at 36 weeks 4 days gestation with birth weight 2.1 kgs. On 24th, Bilirubin level was 8.4. Yesterday the value was 13.8. Kindly suggest if phototherapy is needed for him and what has to be done further. Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Attaching yesterdays report.

You can wait and watch at this report and continue breastfeeding of the child and at this stage the child is not in the range for phototherapy. The Final Decision whether phototherapy is needed or not will be taken by your family pediatrician as other parameters leads to be evaluated.
