Iud removal

I was operated in July 2019 for mirena insertion due to heavy bleeding. The duration of mirena was five years. I had been hospitalized for two days for it. As I have completed my five years wanted to know is there any specific procedure for its removal. Now I'm Completing my 58 in this month. Please gu ide.

No specific procedure if its in place, can be removed as an opd procedure. Further management will depend on your previous diagnosis and recent ultrasound evaluation

Usually it's a very small procedure for removal if thread is visible. If not then they make take you under anesthesia for removal.
