Itchy scalp only in the night

Hello doctor , My mum is 57 years old and since 2 months has been suffering from excessive head scalp itching especially at the back of the head and the crown only while she sleeps in the night. She has confirmed that she does not have any dandruff, dermatitis or psoriasis issues. I personally feel that it is some internal deficiency . Can you please help!
