Itchy and Flacky eyelids

My eyelids (both upper and lower) have been really itchy for the last 2 weeks, also there is some swelling and formation of white flacks (dry skin) on them. I have tried applying Vaseline gel and chloramphenicol but neither solved the problem.

You are suffering from squamous blepharitis, have small amount of sodium bicarbonate (mitta soda in common language) in a glass of water along with cotton, boil it,then let' it cool  to bearable temperature, scrub with this cotton  both your eyelids .This white crusty material is soluble in sodium bicarbonate, so you lids will be cleaned, do it once daily for a month. After skin dried, apply eye ointment over skin 2-3 times a day (combination of antibiotic & corticosteroid), you will definitely get relief.

Hi..... It's important to clean your eyelids every day if you have blepharitis, even if you're using medication or don't currently have any symptoms. Good eyelid hygiene can help ease your symptoms and prevent it happening again... If you have blepharitis that doesn't respond to regular cleaning, you may be prescribed a course of antibiotic ointments, creams or eye drops (topical antibiotics). You'll usually need to use these for around four to six weeks....
