Hi I am 8 month pregnant. My hands and legs are itching. Got liver function test done. Sgpt and sgot are on higher side. Want to understand how serious this problem is and will it be allright.

Also known as obstetric cholestasis. Delivery is to be done at 37 weeks only as there is a risk of sudden fetal death if prolonged beyond this time. Hope your gynecologist has started you with medications.

If your liver enzymes are on higher side u need to do a proper consultation... It's likely jaundice...
