Issue in staying asleep

Hello Doctors My father is facing a issue in staying asleep for 6 to 7 hours. The pattern is he sleeps and after some random duration , awakes and then it becomes difficult to sleep again. What should be done for this ??

5-6 hrs is good sleep as you age. Make sure he has his dose physical as well as mental exercise if retired.

ideally ask your father to decrease day time sleeping, and engage more in some physical activities for which he is fit. Hopefully he'll get a better sleep once he is in a more exhausted state.

He should be happy and satisfied if he can get  6-7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Better to avoid any medication.

Nothing need be done 6:7 hrs sleep is ok  for middle aged If any one sleeps for 6:7 hrs then he can not sleep so just forget
