Hello there. I can understand your concern. As per your reports its correct diagnosis that its a typhoid fever. But the treatment that is given is to be changed. As per modern practise, tab. I have gone through your question and reports. Your younger brother is suffering from typhoid fever. Your treatment could have been better as per modern knowledge about internal medicine. Treatment of choice is cefixime alongwith ofloxacin. It takes about 1-2weeks for full recovery,which varies according to patient immunity. Typhoid fever is mainly spread by unhygienic foods or water or habits of taking meals without proper washing of hands. Wash hands before taking meals. Clear your home from cockroaches,if present. Consult any paediatrician or any physician urgently for medications. Paediatrician will also comment about typhoid vaccine for your young brother or you may ask about it too during visit. If your brother is looking serious,than admit him in any hospital or nursing home under any good paediatrician urgently.
