Your symptoms of low back pain, leg numbness/tingling, and bladder problems require prompt evaluation, and MRI is the best investigation to assess the spinal nerves. If you have a fear of closed spaces, discuss this with your doctor. MRI can be safely performed under short general anaesthesia or sedation, which is usually a day-care procedure, allowing you to go home the same day in most cases.
Next Steps
If you develop worsening leg weakness, numbness around the groin, or increasing difficulty controlling your bladder or bowel, seek emergency medical attention immediately.
Health Tips
MRI is a non- invasive, radiation free diagnostic option which is safe
