My friend suffered with anal fissure and doctor advised for pegfiber , he used for 4 weeks later he diagnosed with internal piles currently he is using laxopeg fiber for 2 weeks , is it safe to use polyethylene glycol 3350 for long time , I think laxtives should not to be taken more than 2 weeks , can he stop and take any natural laxtives like dabur nature care isbagol or other natural way

You are right in saying that laxatives should not be continued indefinitely but polyethylene glycol PEG being osmotic laxative that softens stool and adds to bulk is relatively speaking quite safe. Your friend can always start taking isapgul fibre as well, and gradually decrease the dose of PEG and eventually stop it.
