Irregular Periods (Continuous Periods)

2026-09-01 07:48:52
I have been bleeding daily since August 8, 2026 – over 3 weeks now. The flow per day is normal, but it just will not stop. My treatment history: Two IV iron infusions (Orofer 500mg) – June 3 and July 14. Vitamin D (Calcirol 60,000 IU) – one sachet weekly for 8 weeks as prescribed by the doctor. (Earlier I had everyday bleeding for almost 1.5 yrs. Due to that I had critically low iron and ferritin plus vit.D and low hemoglobin). My periods stopped on June 25 for about 6 weeks. They resumed on August 8 and have been bleeding every day since. I am passing fine, stringy tissue fragments – no large clots. My energy is much better overall. But I feel mild weakness and slight dizziness if I miss a meal or stand too long. Now everyday periods are getting slightly on the heavier side from the last 3-4 days. I have always had lighter periods and now it can be considered like bleeding on heavy days as everyday. How can I stop my everyday periods? Can anyone explain in detail?

Daily bleeding for three weeks after such a long gap usually points to a hormonal imbalance in how your uterine lining is shedding, especially given your history of heavy prolonged bleeding.
Next Steps
This needs an in-person gynaecology review soon, since ongoing daily bleeding can affect your iron levels again.
Health Tips
Please don't wait this one out at home given your past anaemia history.
