Intradermal rabies vaccine
I took dose 0 of intradermal rabies vaccine yesterday at govt hospital.
The doctor wrote the note and his assistant who does dressings and Injections did the vaccination.
Injection was given in such a way I didn't even feel it, it wasn't into muscle, felt only in top layer of skin.
After injection I only saw an extremely small bleb on the injection site which went away in 2 - 3 mins. It was so small I wouldn't even call it a bleb ( size slightly bigger than nib of a pen)
Do I need to inform the doctor about this or is it ok ?

Doses are usually given by injection into the skin we called that intra dermal ,After exposure, the vaccination is typically used along with rabies immunoglobulin if its cat 3 bite
It is recommended that those who are at high risk of exposure be vaccinated before potential exposure

Vaccines should be injected, Given on days 0, 3, 7 and 28. vaccines that can be used by the intra dermal route so follow the schedule and you are correctly vaccinated so don’t worry about the bleb !
