Inner cheek trauma?

2021-05-25 10:57:03
I had found this brownish spot on my buccal mucosa on 7th may. Since then for 2 weeks i had applied kenacort after consulting with dentist online. After that i also consulted physically with a oral medicine specialist in a dental hospital, he said its a physiological pigmentation. Although now my question is is this happening because of sharp cusps and 1st molar is misaligned since childhood for me... why is there red bleeding wounds/spots forming, is it because of sharp tooth cusps? Also I have a little headache on this side only, is my wisdom tooth impacted? Its like a very faint/dull headache, sometimes under eye ache will be there but very very dull. I was advised to smoothen out the wisdoms tooth after lockdown, please help me, m worried about cancer also(sorry, had googled a bit, have stopped though). Attached two images, one with marked circles where redness is there, another one is with original wide image. Note: i don't smoke, use tobaccos or drink. Please help me!!

First and foremost advice 1. Stop doing google for your symptoms. You will only get more worried than getting a resolution. 2 the condition which I can asses is completely normal in your case..it's basically fordyce granules and spots which are formed. 3. There is misalignment which definitely needs to be corrected...best way is to go for sectional braces in your case... according to what i see in the image.. Since I am a oral pathologist and from Bangalore itself all I can tell you eat and sleep peacefully. Spend your time on othet things rather developing stress about this issue...all is well...

The red spots could be due to either sharp cups or cheek bite happening due to alignment issues. There is nothing major to worry about. If u still feel the need u can visit a dentist. Hope this helps.

If you have pain or swelling in that region then we have to treat its cause..like grinding of cusp...it all depends on ur complain. Last circle is Fordyce's granules which are basically sebaceous gland. Just discuss with your dentist .... Treatment depends on your symptoms.
