Hi I have inguinal hernia over right side after consulting a doctor he recommended me for surgery. please suggest me which type of surgery should I undergo either open or laparoscopic

Laproscopic surgery is best with less complications and better cosmetic acceptability...there is something called herniorrhaphy with hernioplasty..in which the surgeon pushes the protruding contents back into your abdomen and the weak area often is reinforced and supported with a synthetic mesh...Consult your surgeon they will do the needful.
