I experience inflammation/dull squeezing pain in chest area specially localized and more predominant in side ribs both sides. It sometimes radiates till throat as well. I experience this intermittently maybe once in 10-15 days. I want to diagnose the exact cause for this problem so i can take effective treatment. I am not sure if its acid reflux, gastric or any other problem. I am 32 years old male, height 5 '8', weight 70 kgs. Can you suggest which tests should I perform to find exact problem?

Hi as your symptoms are suggestive of gastritis. Follow some life style changes : stop tea coffee. Avoid spicy food. Don't eat cabbage / capsicum/ don't drink / eat citrus fruits. If symptoms persists then It's better to get a upper Gastroscopy done to rule out ulcers/ erosions/ presence of H.pylori infection. By then you can take tab. PANTODAC DSR (1-0-1) HALF AN HOUR BEFORE MEAL FOR 7 DAYS. Sup. GAVISCON 10 ml THREE TIMES A DAY AFTER MEAL FOR 10 DAYS. Report the progress.
