Turbinate hypertrophy and/or deviated nasal septum if not causing any septum needs not to be corrected with surgery, its not even a serious issue let aline life threatening. But if it is causing symptoms like nasal blockage, snoring, difficulty breathing, dry mouth, headache, recurrent sinusitis, eustachian tube inflammatory with ear problems then it needs to be corrected with surgery, and if the surgery is done adequately and properly by an efficient surgeon it doesn’t recur.
