I would recommend LASER assisted Tonsillar Ablation. This is a much safer surgery and relatively bloodless and painless procedure requiring only a shory stay in hospital of about 2-3 hours after surgery. Entire tonsils are not removed, but the bulk of it is vapourised leaving behind about 20%. This remnant is free of any germs as the heat generated by the LASER would have destroyed any germs therein.
The tonsil remnants will actually be helpful to provide a support to the palate later on.
