Infected wisdom tooth
Gave me Augmentin sent out test if pus then called today said it's Streptoccocus Mitis/Oralis put me on Cipro. I have 4 children. Will this infection kill me?
Directly don't think like that . Streptococcus mitis /oralis is a bacteria normally found in our mouth. It's found in everybody's mouth. So it won't kill u.
Infection of wisdom tooth is called periodontitis.if pus is there u can continue with Cipro or augmenting 625 .both are fine .
Or normal Amoxicillin 500 mg (twice a day) +metrogyl 400 mg(thrice a day) is useful combination.
After the infection settles down in 2 to 3 days u can get the wisdom tooth extracted.

Augmentin 625 is the best suited drug in this category take it straight for 3 days and get your wisdom teeth extracted that would solve your issue and yes bacteria won't kill you but the pain which will be arising due to this infection will be very uncomfortable so get it treated asap
