IBS-D after hemorrhoids operation

I had my hemorrhoids operated a year back after 2months I started having chronic diarrhea and fecal incontinence after visiting two gastroenterologist I was diagnosed and told I may have ibs d but now the doctor wants to do colonoscopy as all my others reports were normal this problem comes as flare up I am fine few months and few months I am scared to step out of house it has compromised my social life completely I have two kids but not able to go out and even have Good time with them I am managing with immodium and meva c tablet when I get flare ups was the operation cause of this or as doctors tell stress I am confused also scared to do colonoscopy as it may cause more trouble pls help.

Your symptoms do correlate with IBD, hence colonoscopy is highly suggested . Haemorroidectomy has nothing to do with your presentation
