I've Acne scars, Hyper-pigmentation

I've acne for 4 to 5 years. Currently, I don't have much acne but acne scar all over my ckeeks area.. I've watched so many videos on youtube about topical Tretinoin 0.025%. Does it reduce rolling and boxed acne scars? Or I've to take laser treatment?
