Hi. Overall the possibility of a heart problem seems to be less but without doing any objective test, a heart problem can not be conclusively ruled out especially because now a days heart diseases have become common in young people. So please meet a cardiologist as early as possible and get yourself properly examined & get the basic tests done like ECG, echo, TMT etc to rule out a heart problem. Thanks. Hope this helps. Your symptoms are suggestive of hyperacidity causing gastritis which could be causing this chest pain. Although with chest pain it is an absolute must to rule out any cardiac involvement, I would advise you to visit the ER so that you can be examined and undergo investigations such as ECG, Troponin I, etc. to rule out any cardiac involvement. You will require antacids to control the situation. The following steps may help: - Don't skip meals, break down your meals from 3 large meals to 5 or 6 small meals as you can tolerate and slowly increase as you get better. - Reduce/ Avoid spicy, fried, fatty, junk and oily food - Avoid/ Limit drinking coffee, tea and carbonated drinks to once a day - Exercise regularly (30-45min/day, Maintain a healthy weight as per your BMI) - Increase daily intake of water to 3 liters - Avoid/Stop smoking and drinking if you have the habit - Reduce stress through methods such as yoga/meditation/tai-chi. If the problem persists or worsens visit the ER at the earliest.
