Pain is in gum or tooth.  U can visit dentist,  X-ray's , invasive and surgical procedures should b avoided , but fillings and scaling can be done and even medication s such as antibiotics and painkillers can be taken,  if it is required.  Second opinion of ur gynaecologist before taking medication  is must.

There is nothing like that u can't go to dentist if you are pregnant. You just can't have direct x-ray ,or long sitting appointments,or those surgical procedures in which excessive blood loss happens. If you are having pain in your gums visit the dentist because if the infection increases then that will affect your baby. Get the proper treatment what ever required according to your dentist and also take a second opinion form your gyneac before taking the medications prescribed by your dentist.
