My wife's gynecologist has recommended her to do hplc and Rubella Igg test before conception. My question is should these tests also be done by me?

I could not understand why HPLC test has been advised. If your wife is chronically anaemic then this test can be done. Rubella IgG test is also of doubtful value if done when the lady is trying to conceive. IgM antibodies are dangerous because they signifying existing infection which can be transmitted to the baby. IgG signifies old infection which may be burnt out. So it can't be transmitted to the baby and this test will be positive for a very long time.
