There's not enough information to give you appropriate advise with regards to the reason why your mother is feeling the way she is at the moment. The urine test itself is not clear to confirm that she indeed has urine infection. There isnt any bacteria in the urine and it suggests she might not be suffering from Urinary tract infection. No matter how difficult it is , urinary tract infection can easily be treated . It is just the matter of doing urine cultures , finding out if there is bacteria that is grown and finding out the sensitivities and then giving appropriate antibiotics. Some women are prone to recurrent infections and in such cases, small dose of antibiotics can be given on daily basis to keep the infection under control. You suggested that you mother is struggling to walk and I am not sure it can be explained just by UTI or uncontrolled
diabetes , unless she has long standing diabetes and significant neuropathy symptoms. Again what she would need is appropriate assessment by a good physician , to try and get to the bottom of the cause of your mother's illness.
