How is fallen dental filling treated?

Hello. My teeth's filling (done around 8 years ago) has fallen off. The teeth has its base and one side of the wall, but remaining parts have fallen off. What would be the treatment for this, if I want to avoid root canal or extraction? Weirdly phobic about dental procedures in general, hence requesting for some info before meeting a dentist. Thank you.

if you have just a filling that has come out and there is no sensitivity to hot and cold you can get the filling done … if the tooth is further carious then it has to be cleaned further then doctor will decide if rct is needed and also if not enough tooth structure is left you can get a crown
Next Steps
dentist will take a small x-ray for it visit the dentist for clinical examination
Health Tips
avoid biting hard from that side

Hi!. If just that the filling has come off and you have no pain/ sensitivity, then it would be the simple procedure of filling the cement as would have been done 8 years back. But any other complains might change the mode of action. An x- ray mostly will be taken.
Next Steps
Visit a Dentist at the earliest.
Health Tips
Don't postpone open cavities. The earliest you visit the simple will be the procedure for both you and your dentist. Take care.
