How does Welbutrin XL effects fluctuate?

I have been on the medication for about 5 weeks and just got bumped to 300mg. Finally feeling the effects working but confused. Effects are supposed to be constant and build up in the system over time but info I have found online show the effects seem to decay over 24 hours. If I take the medication early in the morning before work will it react less to other things in the evening. Say...at a party?
